English

Floating over a jump, feeling the wind whip your hair as muscle and strength meet ground in an exhilarating impact...

This feeling is why many seek the riding discipline generally known as "English." It encompasses a wide variety of equine activities, including jumping, equitation, hunting, and even dressage, although the last has its own distinct category. What is most often referred to as "English" riding is most broadly in reference to its style of tack and a focus on balance in a different style than "Western" riding.
